The new Jeep Wrangler is a powerful and capable off-road masterpiece that blends technology and highly efficient powertrains to beat bad weather and rough terrains. It has a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that puts out 295 pound-feet of torque. Other engines available include a 3.0-liter and a 3.6-liter (with ETorque and Ess). All the engine variants can tow up to 3500 pounds.

The Jeep Wrangler off-road capabilities stem from the 4x4-drivetrain system. It has three 4x4 systems that include:

  • The Command-Trac
  • The Selec-Trac
  • Rock Trac has a low gear ratio and front and rear locking differentials

The Command-Trac system transfers torque and power to all the wheels of the Jeep Wrangler, thus ensuring high traction is maintained on all four wheels. The Selec-Trac system automatically adjusts its four-wheel system to a two-wheel drive for maximum efficiency. Furthermore, it provides drivers with continuous traction on poor weather and road conditions like mud, rain, and ice.
