While they may be pretty to look at, fall leaves cause dangerous road conditions and can cause damage to your car. When they fall, they cover curbs and potholes and they can ruin your car's paint. If the leaves happen to be wet, the pollen, sap, and acid from leaves can stain and damage the paint on your car. The best way to combat this is avoid leaves, but since that's not always possible here are some other tips to help protect your car:
- Remove leaves from your car as often as possible. If you have to park in an area that is heavy with leaves you will want to remove them every day.
- You may want to purchase a car cover to protect your car. The good thing about this purchase is that you can use it no matter the season.
- Don't park under trees whenever possible. If the tree has already lost most of its leaves that's ok, too.
- Wash your car more often to remove leaves and the residue they leave behind.
